Rosa Parks and the Civil Rights Movement

United States has had one of the tremendous discrimination encounters in history. Despite these encounters, there have been events that have sparked the need to fight for the rights of the Americans in an effort to end heightened racial discrimination that began during the colonial era. Civil Rights Movements were struggling that American people for social justice during a time when there were no equal rights under the law in the United States during the 1950s and 1960s. One of the most significant figures in the history of Civil Rights Movement was Rosa Parks, who through her bravery action stimulated the quest for the Blacks to fight for their rights (Richard, 2020). During the time, the black people were required to give their seats to white counterparts whenever they boarded a crowded bus. However, Rosa Park resisted giving out her seat to a white man who had boarded a bus together. However, how did her act of bravery heighten the fight for civil rights. This paper will evaluate emergence of Civil Rights Movement and the contribution of Rosa Parks towards the success of Civil Rights Movements of 20th century.

The paper outline will include the following features:

· An introduction that will give an overview of the subject of the civil rights movement.

· The historical figures that spearheaded the implementation of the civil rights movement with specific focus on Rosa Parks and her role in the civil rights movements of the time.

· How the historic figure contributed to the implementation of the civil rights during the period.

· A conclusion that highlights the achievements of the civil rights movements since they were started to the current date. The conclusion will also compare elements of modern status of civil rights.
