I’m highly curious, adaptive, and well versed on a variety of topics: travel, health, outdoor adventure (surfing, rock climbing, bicycle commuting/touring/bikepacking, backpacking, and more), food and beverage (I hold a level two sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers.), MUSIC, and art. I earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a focus in creative writing from UCLA (graduated in 2007). Since then, I’ve journeyed throughout the world collecting experiences. I’ve trolled the coast of Nicaragua for surf, taught yoga in a backpackers in New Zealand, managed a noodle bar in Australia, sipped Barolo in Piemonte, and bikepacked in the Ecuadorian Andes–all funded by a decade hustling for tips in San Francisco upscale dining.
